Fortifying civil and social rights in Basic Laws and giving them supreme status.

• •Entrenching human rights and social rights in Basic Laws, including the right to health, education and housing, and giving them supreme constitutional status.
• •We will also amend the Nation-State Law so that it clearly reflects Israel's commitment to being both Jewish and democratic, in the spirit of the Declaration of Independence.
• •In this way, we will ensure that all state authorities are committed to caring for the citizen, ensuring a life of dignity and protecting their rights.

Strengthening the Knesset and the principle of separation of powers, and enacting a Basic Law: Legislation.

• •Enacting a Basic Law: Legislation that will regulate the status of the Basic Laws, set clear rules for their enactment and regulate relations with the judiciary and judicial review of legislation.
• •At the same time, strengthening the Knesset as a body that truly oversees the government: improving the work of the committees and the plenum and giving them effective tools to oversee the government's work, strengthening the Ethics Committee, and improving legislative processes so that they are professional and efficient.

Ensuring the loyalty of senior civil servants and public employees to the public interest and the law.

• •Ensuring state employees' commitment to the rule of law and the public interest.
• •Setting binding rules of ethics for elected officials and defining clear standards for the civil service.
• •Entrenching in law the independence of legal advice and the binding status of the legal opinion, ensuring professional and transparent appointment processes for senior positions, and protecting the gatekeepers from political pressure.

Repealing all the judicial-overhaul laws and making the justice system more efficient.

• •Mapping and repealing all the judicial-overhaul laws, preserving the independence of the justice system and regulating judicial review and relations between the branches.
• •Repealing the law changing the Judicial Selection Committee that politicizes the appointment process, and the law expanding the powers of the religious courts, which creates a parallel judicial system not subject to the state's laws.
• •At the same time, leading a real reform of the justice system: appointing judges, establishing courts of appeal and working to shorten the duration of legal proceedings.
• •Along the way, advancing dedicated dispute-resolution solutions, digital accessibility of simple proceedings, community solutions and more to improve citizens' access to justice.

Waging an all-out war and decisive enforcement against corruption, and enacting term-limit laws.

• •The Democrats will be the spearhead of the fight against corruption and the defense of the rule of law.
• •We will toughen penalties for governmental corruption and strengthen transparency in the management of public funds.
• •In addition, we will strengthen the fight against corruption: allocating resources to enforcement bodies, ending the persecution of investigators and gatekeepers, and giving a tailwind to the fight against corruption.
• •We will enact term-limit laws: limiting the prime minister's tenure to eight years, setting clear mechanisms for incapacity, and entrenching in law a ban on serving under indictment for ministers and the prime minister.
