Economy and cost of living

Instead of sectoral budgets for cronies and draft evaders, investing in social services and in the working and serving public.

  • •We will change budget priorities, from investing in cronies to investing in the working and serving public and in social services, the growth engine of a healthy and prosperous society.
  • •We will cancel sectoral budgeting that encourages non-work and non-enlistment, invest in vocational training adapted to today's market, raise the minimum wage and the negative income tax to increase the incentive to enter the labor market, and encourage the employment of diverse populations.
  • •At the same time, we will increase civilian spending toward the OECD average, and with it investment in social services for all Israeli citizens in education, health, welfare, transportation and infrastructure.
  • •We will improve conditions for essential-service workers and return the civil service to its statist path.

Taking care of young families' needs.

  • •We will invest in people and in the working public: we will shorten the work week and add vacation and sick days for workers.
  • •We will advance meaningful parental leave for fathers too.
  • •We will rescue early-childhood education: we will expand public frameworks, lower costs and ensure that every child in Israel gets to a quality preschool regardless of the thickness of their parents' wallet.

Lowering the cost of living.

  • •We will stop this.
  • •We will break up concentration and fight the food, medicine and energy cartels.
  • •We will bring public-transportation fares back down and expand the range of price-controlled products.
  • •We will work to lower the prices of public services: when the health and education systems function as they should, citizens will not have to pay thousands of shekels a month on supplementary insurance, on private funds and on education the state stopped providing.

Housing

Tackling the housing crisis at the root.

  • •In high-demand areas and across the country, advancing smart urban planning and urban-renewal processes that encourage density, mixed uses and walkability, enabling more apartments to be built close to transportation and employment.
  • •Advancing diverse housing solutions including building apartments of different sizes that will give an affordable answer to different needs, and significantly expanding the options for long-term rental and affordable public housing.

التنمية الإقليمية والمناطق الطرفية

Making the north and south a symbol of rehabilitation.

  • •The residents of the north and south will return home if they have a reason to return.
  • •We will make sure they have a reason, and that these regions flourish and thrive: we will invest in employment and local growth engines, in education and higher education, in health services that do not require a two-hour trip to the center, in excellent transportation, in culture and in housing that lets people build their lives there.
  • •Instead of billions for annexation and outposts, we will transfer billions to residents who are waiting for someone to remember them.
  • •The geographic periphery will become a symbol of equality and growth.
