Ahead of the 2022 government's formation, promoted an amendment to the Police Ordinance expanding the National Security Minister's powers; in January 2025 the Supreme Court, by a 5-4 majority, struck down the section granting the minister authority to set investigations policy, while the law's other sections remained in force
