The Democrats set a target of 21–30 reserve days a year, known in advance so families can plan their lives.
- •Closing the fighting fronts through diplomatic-security moves, ceasing to tie down forces to defend isolated outposts and expanding the army's ranks through equal conscription.
Conscription for everyone, according to the law.
- •Repealing the deserter-arrest law and enforcing the Defense Service Law equally.
- •All citizens of the state will be obliged to serve.
- •Young people will go through a state screening process in which the IDF's needs take priority.
- •Those not required for military service will serve in meaningful civil-national service in security bodies, emergency and rescue organizations and more.
- •The service will be run by the state and according to its needs, not by sectoral associations.
No service, no money.
- •Whoever serves will receive.
- •Whoever evades will not receive excess benefits from public funds.
- •We will stop the special privileges and public funding for draft evasion, and stop excess benefits such as discounts on daycare, afternoon programs and property tax for those who have not settled their status with the army, and instead make sure the benefits go to those who serve.
- •In addition, we will also withhold budgets from institutions and rabbis that promote non-enlistment: public money will not fund an institution that encourages or systematically helps evasion, acts to thwart the conscription duty, or knowingly serves as a framework intended to enable it.
NIS 20 billion for those who serve, not for cronies.
- •We will cancel this system and redefine the contract between the state and those who serve it.
- •Instead of the money being handed to those close to the plate, the billions will go to those who serve the state.
- •Those who complete military, national or civil service will be entitled to funding for a bachelor's degree or vocational training, with an enhanced support package for combat soldiers and reservists.
- •Instead of reservists having to chase countless benefits and entitlements, we will replace the maze of grants with a single, simple and transparent compensation: NIS 1,000 per combat soldier for every reserve day, from the first day, directly to their account and on top of full compensation for loss of civilian income, with a scale adapted to other roles and dedicated grants for the self-employed.
- •In addition, we will return control of their lives to reservists.
- •Service will be planned in advance and dates given to those serving ahead of time, as far as possible.
- •Order 8 will go back to being what it was meant to be, a tool for an immediate emergency, not a substitute for planning.
- •Enlarging the regular army and closing the fighting fronts will let us reduce reserve days and properly compensate those who bear the burden.
- •Alongside this, we will set up a single address for those serving and their families, expand mental-health support and help the self-employed, employees and students return to their lives.
Returning personal security and the law to Arab society, investing in education and employment, and creating meaningful service tracks adapted to the needs of the communities and the needs of the state.
- •We do not seek to change anyone's identity.
- •We demand that every citizen be equal before the law, contribute to the state and receive from it a real opportunity to be part of it.
Образование
A new contract between the state and all its citizens.
- •Drying up the private-partisan education systems and establishing an excellent state-Haredi education system that will give every Haredi child the tools needed for life, education, work and participation in Israeli society.
Гендерное равенство и права женщин
The IDF will allow every person to serve while preserving their faith.
- •Alongside this, we will not compromise on women's equality in the army: we will not allow the exclusion of women, religious coercion, or harm to their service and their ability to fill any role.
