Yashar! For Honoring and Compensating Reserve and Regular Service Members

• •The Yashar party will promote an arrangement to reduce the reserve burden during routine combat, and will promote a comprehensive economic-social framework to minimize the harm to the daily lives of service members and their families.
• •IDF soldiers, regular and reserve, who act on behalf of everyone, will feel the state's commitment to them, in compensation and in care for their way of life and that of their families.

Regulating the reserve system and reducing the burden

• •The reserve system is the face of the beautiful Israel, and a critical asset for Israel's security. The long emergency period, which will be followed by more years of emergency routine, requires regulating the scope of service loads on reservists.
• •The Yashar party will promote an arrangement to reduce reserve days during the period of "combat routine" (an interim period that is neither a routine period nor intense war). The arrangement will be anchored as a temporary provision for a period of 4 years, while expanding the ranks of regular-service personnel through the "National Service for All" law.

A clear service cap

• •We will promote an arrangement that will limit the number of reserve days per year to up to 50 days, provided that they do not exceed 150 reserve days over three years.

Advance planning certainty

• •We will require early planning and updating (subject to operational constraints) of reserve service times, with advance notice of at least 6 months.

Raising the pay of regular service members

• •We will raise the pay of regular service members for everyone: 15% for everyone and an increase of 50% for frontline combat soldiers in their third year of service.

Full compensation for employers

• •We will provide full compensation to employers from the National Insurance Institute for the social contributions for their employees' reserve periods.

A degree in the reserves

• •We will define a standard for a dedicated framework for students that includes subsidizing tutoring and make-up classes, postponing exams, retaking courses and ensuring a high "minimum" payment for each reserve day - in a manner to be arranged with the Council for Higher Education.

Mamadim for studies

• •We will expand eligibility for the "Mamadim for Studies" scholarship to all service members - at a percentage that varies by tier, with combat soldiers receiving funding of 100% of the cost of the degree.

Mamadim for housing

• •We will provide housing benefits to reserve service members by dedicated allocation of land for housing for reserve fighters and long-term rental housing projects - according to the service tier.

An economic framework for reserve and regular service members

• •The Yashar party will promote a comprehensive economic-social framework aimed at reducing the harm to the lives of service members and their families. The framework is built on a clear principle: every service member will receive what they are entitled to automatically, simply and immediately, without complicated application processes or unnecessary bureaucracy.
• •We commit to investing 20 billion NIS in reserve service members over the next three years - for the individual, their family, their livelihood and their employers.
• •Over the course of their service, a reserve service member will receive benefits worth hundreds of thousands of shekels on average

Increasing benefits for working service members

• •We will promote economic benefits for working reserve service members, according to the service tier, for all active service members, first and foremost active combat soldiers.

The mobilized family

• •We will provide a grant and support to families and children according to the scope and type of service, for free use - daycare centers, kindergartens, afternoon programs, babysitters, classes and travel - without bureaucracy, receipts or reimbursements. Money straight to the pocket!
