Accessibility Statement

We are working to make this site accessible in line with Israeli Standard SI 5568 Part 1, based on WCAG 2.0 Level AA guidelines with the Israeli adaptations. This is an ongoing process, not a one-time state.

Accessibility accommodations in place

Among other things, the site includes:

  • Full keyboard navigation across the site, including a "skip to main content" link at the start of every page and a visible focus indicator throughout.
  • Semantic page structure — hierarchical headings, and header / nav / main / footer regions.
  • Accessible names on icon-only controls (share, close, menu, language switch, and others).
  • Text-to-background color contrast was measured for the site's core design tokens against the AA threshold (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
  • The site was tested and remains usable at 200% browser zoom — no clipped content, lost controls, or overlap that blocks use.
  • Dialogs and bottom sheets (e.g. government legislation data) move focus inside on open, keep it trapped inside while open, and return it to the control that opened them on close. Escape closes them.
  • Data tables (e.g. candidate track-record data) use real semantic table markup, not styled divs.
  • Information such as poll standing or legislation status is never shown by color alone — it's always paired with text or another indicator.
