Health

A dedicated fund will be established at the base of the plan, with which the plan's items will be financed. We will pass legislation that defines the fund with an annual budget of about NIS 1 billion, outside the budget base and not subject to cuts.

Establishing a national emergency directorate for post-trauma for regular-service and reserve fighters

  • •An integrating body that will oversee the military mental-health system and the rehabilitation department, operate a dedicated emergency hotline for fighters, guide those in units and outside them in early identification, and advance innovative solutions in the field of trauma.

Establishing a ministerial committee for IDF soldiers wounded in body and mind

  • •Treating wounded IDF soldiers is a national mission – a ministerial committee will be established on the matter, to create a fast legislative track and coordination between government ministries.

A "Big Brother" program: emotional, legal and rehabilitative accompaniment

  • •The moment a request for help is made in a unit, or in the unit for combat reactions, a "Big Brother" will be assigned – a mentor who will accompany and give clarity on the process of treatment and recognition, and help with continuous accompaniment of the fighter in the emotional, legal and rehabilitative aspects. Today the response is not comprehensive enough and is split among several bodies.

Making processing and resilience workshops a built-in part of reserve service

  • •The processing days are not enough, and even so they were recently cut. Units turn to donors to create more independent and comprehensive solutions. The fund will finance sessions for processing combat experiences, resilience programs and varied workshops, during reserve days.

Accommodations and support in academia

  • •Flexible admission tracks, academic adjustments and academic accompaniment for fighters injured by trauma.

Reintegration into employment

  • •Cooperation with companies in the economy and government companies, and creating incentives for employers and tailored employment accompaniment.

Regulation of lawyers' fees

  • •We will examine a series of steps, including – abolishing the percentage system, requiring transparent publication of price ranges to compare prices, having people sign an information sheet clarifying that free assistance can be received, and establishing a body for complaints against lawyers.

Establishing a council of the nonprofits that deal with PTSD

  • •Uniting the nonprofits under one roof, which will help create criteria in government ministries, help connect to donors and expand the supply.
