Advanced Torah education at the Imrei Emet, Sfat Emet, Kollel Gur and Kollel Degel Yerushalayim yeshivas, with rabbinic ordination; directed a Gur Hasidic talmud torah (1974–1983).

Founded the "Ner Yisrael" youth movement, the "Petachya" special-education network (1990), and the "Gdelim Beyachad" parent-support center.
